I still maintain that an expanded loot table in regular and heroic versions would benefit much more than it would hurt. How nice would it be for a boss to drop something that isn't on their regular loot table. It wouldn't force you to do the same damn dungeon over and over again hoping for 'that drop'.
For instance, how many times have people ran h-mech just to get the Sun Eater...they could have been exploring an array of different heroics if there was a chance that they could get a similar drop from any of them.

That doesn't make much sense. What's the point of exploring a variety of instances if you can get the same drops in all of them? Why not just have one dungeon and one boss that drops everything? This statement just seems like a contradiction to me. Like another poster said, you can get some of those Heroics done in an hour or less. Mech takes no time at all if you know what you're up to. You don't have to do a full clear every time (unless you want rep) just to get to the bosses.

The 57 stam trinket, the hit/expertise ranged weapon, and the expertise trinket completely outclass most other tanking items in the game (for those slots) up until you get to like BT. And of course you have to be mindful of their purpose, obviously you're still using the gyro-balanced khorium destroyer when stam is more important than aggro, the stam trinket when you're fighting a boss with lots of magic based attacks and not so much melee, and the expertise trinket when you're fighting something where heavy aggro is of the utmost importance. But for their respective purposes, all 3 of these tanking items are pretty godly. If you're so short-sighted that you can't look past the lack of PLATE tanking items though, then I'm not sure how else to help.

I've actually been lucky to complete the new instance with my guild. For one thing, I'm happy as hell that us DPS warriors are getting some divine retribution. I can't make it to most of the 25-mans in my guild. Why? Cause I'm stuck PvPing for a decent DPS set to compete with the rogues and hunters so I won't have to respec prot. For one thing, there IS a lack of tank PLATE in the sunwell, but not items that would BENEFIT a tank, such as the items people have listed above. And yes, you're whining " There's no tank gear in this new instance even though there's like 4 tank pieces in every OTHER instance. This means I can't see this place! Like no wai :O!!! Oh /Cry /Sob" Go do like the others said and run some freaking heroic SP/UB/Ramps and whatnot and get yourself some half decent badge gear if you're too damn lazy, or is that not "Casual" enough for you? Sorry if I may seem like a complete ******** but this post made me "lol" and "Wtf" so hard. Also, while you're off whilly nilly tanking, whose the ones downing the bosses? Oh yea....the Rogues/DPS warriors and other DPS classes. Putting NEW DPS gear for the DPS warriors, allows us to, well, DPS better, who woulda thought? In turn that helps the raid down bosses before healers go oom and you go bye-bye. For Gods sake, I'm using the damn kara legplates socketed with +8 STR and +16 HIT to freaking DPS. Do I LIKE wearing them? No, I feel silly and I get whispers everyday asking why I'm wearing them. Do I HAVE to wear them? Yes, until I can farm enough honor for my full wellfare epic set. So back on topic to the post. Tank gear in the new instance? No. Tank gear practically being crapped outta Lv.3 Wolves in Elwynn forest? Yea, pretty much.
