Tailoring for Frozen ShadoweaveFollow

#1 Mar 25 2008 at 5:55 AM Rating: Decent
My raiding Felguard spec 'lock is grinding along the path to 70 nicely, and I'm starting to think about level 70 equipment.

I've been focusing on herbalism and skinning primarily as moneymakers, and I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to drop one of them and grind tailoring up exclusively for frozen shadoweave equipment. From an initial look, they seem impressive, but I'm not sure if it's worth levelling a profession to 375 for them alone.

My guild is currently running Kara often and Gruul's intermittently, so I'm trying to gear myself for those raids specifically as effectively as possible.

Is the Frozen Shadoweave set something that is worth leveling up tailoring on it's own for, or are there more time-effective ways of equipping my 'lock?

The FSW set will last you into T5 and in some cases T6 content. It is definately worth it IMO and your gimp in the T4/5 content without it. The 'locks in my guild that don't have it are barely in the top 10 on damage meters, while I am top 3 with it.

I second this. I had picked up mining and herbalism for money on my druid purely for money making, but I switched prof's later to something I could actually USE.

Money is nice but it can't always buy you good gear, and while I don't have it yet because I've been neglecting my lock, the frozen shadoweave will last you a long time and there's almost no excuse not to have it if you can =] although, getting your tailoring up there might not be so fun.
