Well i been working on gearing up my tanking druid and i was curious how far into kara the gear i have now will get me. also would this gear allow me to play a main tank role or should i just stick to offtanking. I am new to tanking but know kara very well as a dps caster.

A few notes:
I realize that my ring choices suck. I was hoping to double up on the tanking ring from old hillsbrad. they are not unique so i figure i can just wear two of them until i can save the badges for the badge ring and get my violot eye rep ring.
problem is i have run old hillsbrad 10 times and have not seen one ring yet. but i did get the shoulders to drop 6 outa 10 times.
also im workin on earthwarden but that is also a hellava grind.
so thank ahead of time for tips.

Uhhh...are you logged out in your tanking gear? I see some big fundamental problems like Staff of Beasts as your weapon, no Heavy Clefthoof pieces, etc. I can't imagine you're tanking heroics with 16k(ish) armor and a defense rating of 367.

If this is your tanking set, I'd say for starters you need:
- New Pants: Get Heavy Clefthoof
- New Chest: Get Heavy Clefthoof
- New Weapon: Get Braxxis Staff of Slumber in teh AH for 40g. Enchant w/ +35 agility.
- New Ring: Iron Band of Unbreakable from Old Hillsbrad
- New Ring: The armor/tanking ring that drops in regular Ramps
- New Trinket #2: Adamantine Figurine off Blackheart in regular Slabs
- New Necklace: Necklage of the Deep, or the Ravenguard one for Def Rating
- New Cloak: Try for Thoriumweave off Capacitus, if not Cloak of the Valiant Defender is not as bad as what you're wearing with it's 64 armor. Ouch.

crap.. i wish i could screenshot an armory profile. because that is not my tanking gear.
its just the stuff that i have been using to do dps in when i have to either solo quest or pvp.
is there a way to get an armory profile that just stays the same and never updates?

Press the 'Prt Scr' key on your keyboard when you've got the Armory open. It will save a copy of your screen in the clipholder or whatever it's called in English. Simply open Paint and press Ctrl+V to paste the information into the program, then save as .jpg and voila.
Please "talk up" if your comprehension white-shifts. I will use simple-happy language-words to help you understand.
You're way past uncritable, so start trading out Def Rating gems for either Stam or Agi. You only need a combined 2.6% fewer crits with 3/3 Survival of the Fittest. Depending on the rest of your group, you could probably go as far as Nightbane and Netherspite.
As for MT or off-tank, it depends if you've got a Prot warrior or Prot Pally going too, or just 2 bear druids. We end up as off-tanks because we can switch to cat form and DPS better than a prot warrior or tankadin. Also, we're a little less reliant on taking damage to generate threat. A paladin that's not taking damage (and thus not getting healed) is going to go OOM. Warriors can be rage-starved when they have to rely on white damage for all their rage. We, on the other hand, get extra rage from 2t4 set bonus and every crit.

I can't tell ya how far you'll get into Kara since I've only downed/tanked Attumen and Moroes myself, but I've done that and tanked a handful of heroics with almost exactly the same gear you're rollin' with. In fact the only differences are your cloak (capacitus won't drop thoriumweave for me), my rings (Iron Band of the Unbreakable and Violet Signet which you're already shooting for), and gems/enchants. FWIW, self-buffed I'm sitting at 14k HP, 26k armor, 26% dodge, 415 def.
The only thing I'd do if I were you is regem and reenchant your Heavy Clefthoof Boots. I'd replace the pair of +8 def rating gems with a pair of Shifting Nightseyes to replace 16 unnecessary Def with 8 agility and 12 stamina. Then as soon as you get one of the rings you want (which each have +15 or so def rating) I'd replace your boots +8 def rating enchant with Boar's Speed for +9 stamina and an 8% speed boost. I'd throw that on mine right now if I hadn't just spent loads of gold on my primalstrike set. : /
