based off racials, which makes the better rogue? i've been debating this in my head for a while now

I gotta say undead. As a lock when I get free from their stunlock i skillcoil and fear, they have both trinket and WoTF. BE's have mana tap and mana explosion which aren't that effective. Plus Undead look awesome in rogue gear. BE's just look gay.

I totally agree, i rolled Undead for the racial, which is VERY useful.
Although thinking about it now, undead looks **** in gear and have a hunched posture, whereas b'elfs have a straight back so you can see gear better and dont have bones sticking out all over the place :(
So basically:
Looks > Not dieing a few times because of racial.
I'd change to troll instantly if it was available.
Races are all about whose *** you want to stare at for hours and hours anyway.
But since this is a comparison, yeah, undead.

If you're staring at your character's ***, odds are you're bad at this game.
While I'd probably go for UD too, 30 on demand energy with a 2 sec silenc aoe (to destealth ****, or just for burst) isn't as bad as people make it out to be. if you mix in the 2 sec in properly it's better than Renataki (30 energy plus 20 energy tick).
The downside is that it's a ***** to charge in arena where it really matters (1:30 minutes if you tap every cd) so yeah, if you're really only concerned with racials then go UD. If you like BE's then their racials are still pretty useful (unlike trolls).

I am also thinking of rolling a new rogue, however my comparison isn't UD vs BE, rather
Human vs. Undead.
Human have an edge against our worst enemies in arena play...ourselves and druids. Catching a rogue in sap, or opening on an unsuspecting druid is OP.
However, during long games(and caster games) the UD raciall is ownage if the other team relies on fear (to burst down or something).
Without a doubt I'd say UD for PvP.
For PvE the Belfs might be better with that little bit extra energy giving a special attack every 2 mins.

Coming from a belf rogue, undead is much better for PvP, PvE it doesnt really matter much.

I challenge you to deny the superiority of a female blood elf's rear over that of a walking corpse.
I don't deny that UD racial is awesome for PvP but I think alot of people don't use the BE racial properly or enough to realize how useful it can be. An energy free spell interrupt on someone you don't even have to target can make the match. I also use it as a backup interrupt if stuns or kick is on CD or resist. I'm not saying that its better, its just far from useless if you use it properly.

Yeah, but you can't faceroll on your keyboard to win vs a priest/lock setup like me and my priest can.
WotF + Fear Ward + PvP trinket = raceroll ezmoad.
Yeah, I got a friend that runs UD SPriest / UD Rogue and they own house.

For Looks/Fun - BElf
I made a female Belf myself and I love the animation of her left hand when she attacks with it. She'll go from holding it normally, with the blade out in front of her, to holding it upside down with the blade next to her forearm and strike by slicing at the enemy with the force of her forearm on the dull part of blade and the sharp end gutting the enemy.
It's awesome imo, but not the reason I chose her. I chose her because for one I have an ugly *** orc hunter as my main. I mean this dude could scare Rosie O'donnell he's so ugly. Rather then stare at another orc's *** or even a half rotting undead, I chose Belf. Sure I may die more often in pvp, and my silencing effect isn't that great, but damn does she look good!
