hello warlocks.. i just have one or two questions and it would be great if you could give me some of that knowledge of yours.

back story: i play as alliance i joined them to play with guildies from another game which was short lived cause we just couldnt cut it but i continued to play alliance even tho since joining wow i've wanted to play horde.. orc rogue, i have now reached the point where wow just isn't really that fun i just stand around in shat so i think rerolling horde would create some excitement for me.

i plan to level that orc rogue i've always wanted but seeing how its a new server and lack of income i feel leveling a warlock off the start for easier level/farming end-game would be best, plus i've always wanted a lock.

i have checked the FAQ which i feel is somewhat out of date, but the warlock playstyle sticky is outstanding, my questions involve starting out and professions.

i plan to make a orc female.. why orc? well are only real counter is rogues/others that can stun so any chance to resist that is a chance to kill them.. what would you advise for leveling? all i hear is demo is for noobs that wished they were hunters? i rather not respec until 70 so what would you suggest to use to go from 1-69?

last question, professions.. a lot of the threads say tailoring/gathering or enchanting but this was before welfare epics, i plan to use my lock as a farmer/pvper.

what are your opinions on engineering? it doesn't offer too much other the mount/goggles but those new 2.4 goggles are really quite nice.. so could maybe do that plus gather up some free pvp welfare epics.

what are your thoughts on professions? present-BC thinking in a level 70 mind set.

Demonology isn't BAD for levelling, but Affliction is consistently better. Start off letting a Voidwalker take the hits while hanging back then when you get Fel Concentration maxed take a Succubus and tank yourself with Drain Life.

Welfare Epix as you call them aren't astounding for PvE as many think: at least, not the slots you get from Professions. The Spellblade or Staff is probably the only one worthwhile for PvP. Tailoring/Enchanting, Engineering/Mining, Enchanting/Mining or Enchanting/Skinnning and Mining/Skinning are all pretty solid choices: professions are much easier to level when the mobs which drop cloth/greens are all grey to you.

If it's just a farming toon, then I'd definately say just two gathering proffesions. You may want enchanting so you can DE stuff, and Tailoring is really only useful after 60. The Netherweave set and the Imbued Netherweave set are pretty good and can hold you until 70 in some cases. The FSW set that you can make with tailoring is a great set, but does not have the Sta(or resilience for that matter) to get you anywhere in PvP. You could probably find another tailor to make you the other 2 sets when you can wear them. Really, unless your raiding, just go with 2 gathering professions for the money. If you change your mind, it's really easy to powerlevel a prof once your in outlands anyway, so just get Mining/Skinning and enjoy the extra income while you level.
