Horrible. This guy joined my guild less than a week ago, and wonders why we don't take him to any 25-mans.

See if you can see why.

Assuming that is the spec he raids with, it is buit for PvP, and badly i might add

SS and Hemo?
1/3 Initiative
No GS
3/3 MoS

Gear selection is on par, as well as gemming

Looks like Relentless Strikes is the only thing he got right in talents. Imp. SS and hemo? I /lol and pop AR when I sub for guilds that bring a Shadowstep rogue, end up putting them to shame on meters by 10%. Other than that, not a big fan of AP gems, and especially the Glad OH with 20 agi and 87 dps MH mace with a resil gem in it. At first glance he looks fine, but anyone who knows what is going on and has been in kara enough to be revered will out-DPS him i think.

Edit: 26 AP on gloves haha.

I agree with everything everybody so far has said with the exception of the glove enchant.

My rogue is now my PVP bot, even though I'm not doing a ton of arenas or BGs with him. I got him the S3 gloves a few weeks ago and put 26 AP on them for the simple fact that 15 agi is so damn expensive.

Obviously I realize if I want to be the best I can be I'll farm the money/mats for 15 agi, but for now I'm happy with my 26 AP.

The 26 AP vs 15 Agi to gloves is debatable. I prefer 26 AP, as I'm not too concerned with crits, since I'm sitting at 31.52%. I'd much rather come that much closer to 1900-2k AP (I'm getting close at 1872).

EDIT: This is for PvP, of course.

I hit Un'Goro and just... stopped trying. Besides, my rogue's guild is about to start TK tonight, so I'm fairly committed over here.

Also, I've been talking to the rogue linked in the OP, and apparently he does respec for raids... to Combat Daggers.

I was going to say he didn't seem that bad... when I looked at the armory he was specced 15/41/5 Which... sucks yeah, but I've seen worse... Saw one rogue the other day with a dagger in his mainhand; he had picked up hemo, but no ambush/backstab talents and no improved sinister strike. I was very confused.

Slightly related to this topic: I was getting very annoyed the other day at the amount of pvp nubs I see with terrible talent specs, 2k lifetime kills and full gladiator gear. In particular two rogues I had spotted in eye of the storm. I then sat back and watched both of them try to take on a frost Mage (who wasn't even that good) and proceed to both be killed by him. This cheered me up so much I rolled a toon on his server to thank him.

But I'm weird like that.

Edit:Spelling.

my opinion on those two enchants is AP for pvp if your spec'd for deadliness and never roll with a paladin especially in arena plus it really is cheap on mats.. like 6dusts?

if your raiding then 15agi would be better because youll have a pally putting kings on you.

one question tho.. i've never played combat daggers before but wouldn't it be more helpful to him to drop some of that 312hit to pick up some more crit? i know you want a lot of hit but i just don't see the amount of white damage daggers could push out warrant that over crit.. isn't daggers all about crit damage? so say he dropped his hit to 250-275 and got his crit up around 31% maybe produce a bit better damage?

for swords i live by hit tho so maybe its applies the same.. i just think more crit over a bit less hit for those higher BS...

oh well i dont know **** about combat daggers so ill shut my mouth.

I enjoy rogues trying to kill me in BGs. Unless they have full S3 gear, they don't come close to killing me by the time their stunlock is up and I turn around and own them.

Even funnier is when my brother is in the BG with me and just heals me through their damage as feral spec.

He seems to have respecced to combat daggers. Nice gearz too.

Let's see here.. 4 resil 6 stam, 16 ap, 4 crit 8 ap, 20 agi on offhand.
No imp gouge, 1/3 initiative, no ghostly strike, 5/5 fail train.

I support this rogue in his life choices.
