Is there a warriors dead zone?Follow

We use the 5-35 range..And warriors use the 8-25 range for charge and intercept..If a warrior is in melee distance with us,isnt better to stay in 5-8 range and shoot, than to try to go to safe distance and give him the chance to charge us again?
Or i make a big mistake and warriors melee range is 0-8?
If not has anyone use this hypothetic dead zone?or is any addon that tells you the distance from your opponent?

yes warriors have a 5-8 deadzone where only Whirlwind can hit you, so staying in that zone is a good strategy.

As for the addon, i dont believe there is. Even if there was it would be a client side distance and with lag it wouldnt be accurate unless people were standing still.

So we must practise to it..find it very difficult to stay in 5-8 range with all the panic you have when a tauren war is hiting you to death..

A trick I do is I use snake trap on every CD. When they trip the trap there is less chance they are gonna hit you with one of their moves.

Keep them slowed and run circles around them. Close cut ones. Don't panic and run streight away from them.

Practice it in duels. Have a well geared warrior you know practice with you.

I don't have anything fancy like BW/tBW so I have to use a bit more tact when fighting them. When they charge/intercept and hamstring me the first thing I do is wingclip them then Scatter shot them. That gives me plenty of time to get into their deadzone.

After that I lay a snake trap and kinda "Wait" for them. In all actuality I am just getting my trap to trigger and then I am off runnin circles around them. If by some sick chance they get in range for an intercept. Repeat step 1. eventually they die from the constant slowing movement (which makes it impossible for them to stay on me) empairments and the poisons and my pet that is still nippin at them.

Makes it nice that they can try to intimidating shout and even though it locks me for a sec they are still stuck in an aweful situation.

I prefer to use the second deadzone listed:

26-35 range

I know they have less out there that can hurt me a lot. Concussive shot can keep them out at that range as well and its a fairly fast CD shot. If I get lucky, it stuns them! Bonus!

If I've been mixing it up with a warrior in Arena, and it happens a lot, Hitash's tactics work well but again, my preference is to keep them at significant range.

Charge doesn't bug me as much because I tend to leave a freezing trap at my feet. They charge, get that one shot in and I run after I'm free or I can trinket out if our healer is down. Scattershot, Concussive shot, wingclips and snake traps do wonders to keep warriors, rogues and paladins slowed down.

One on one, I can usually live pretty long against a warrior and get away more often than not. With any kind of dps backup behind the warrior though, I'm toast. I normally don't have Morris defending me in Arena... he's usually chewing on the healer. So, I can't really speak to any pet defense tactics that might be out there.

I have bigger problems with locks and other hunters... no such thing as professional courtesy among hunters! Sheesh!
