I have a druid I've leveled as balance, and I'd always planned to respec resto at 70. However, my guild doesn't have any boomkins, and it's fairly likely that they'd prefer if I stayed balance. With that possibilty looming, I need some advice.

Spec: I am currently level 61 with this spec. It is mainly geared to questing solo. I'd like to stay a hybrid so that I can heal decently in 5 mans if need be.

Gear: I have maxed tailoring, because it has better healing gear than leatherworking. However, if I remain balance, I'll need spell damage gear. So far, the only leather spell damage stuff I've found has been quest rewards. Almost everything I get as a drop or on the AH will be cloth. I checked the sticky, and it has links to shopping lists for resto and feral, does anyone know of one for balance?

Also along the lines of gear, most staves that mention a benefit for Moonkins have +str, +agi and +ap, but no spell damage or mp5. I've found it much easier to root and nuke, yet with all the "on hit" talents and gear meant for melee, does that mean I'm doing something wrong?

Faction: I've chosen Aldor, because in the end I really do want a healer, and I will fully respec as soon as my guild gets a dedicated boomkin. Are there any other factions I should particularly focus on earning rep with?
