Blast Wave vs. Dragons BreathFollow

I just switched to fire yesterday and got the standard 2/48/11 build. I went out killing things, and what i noticed was that blast wave didn't seem to daze the mobs when it hit them. Dragons Breath did disorient them. What is the difference between daze and disorient?

Also ran Heroic SL and got 5400 crits. I think I could've gotten higher but I was having to hold back alot to avoid aggro. We had a shammy in the group dropping totems that were kicking up the crits and damage a lot. I had to stop using combustion and icy veins except on the boss fights. Even then I had to slow it down.

A Daze is a 50% movement speed reduction.
A Disorient is a stun that's broken by damage.

Daze is also noteworthy for being indispellable.
