Here I am. I little 48 warlock. I'm really enjoying pvp as destruction. I've leveled affliction up until this point with great success but as the fights were getting longer and my patience was getting shorter I went the fire lock route. I dont mind drinking(I do every 3 mobs if I'm lucky) so its ok if I'm not the most efficient.
If you look at my armory you will probably (most definitly) laugh. I'm wearing a ton of +fire dmg gear while completely shunning all other stats. Why? For funzies. I'm just ******** around in bgs enjoying the 2k soulfire crits and the 1k conflagrate crits. Pretty enjoyable time seduce nuking.
Now for the question:
At 70, I am looking to stay as destruction for pvp. I very good friend of mine in-game is a destro lock and he is pretty fantastic. I dont know the cookie cutter builds of a warlock so I built a talent tree on wowwiki and was wondering about its viability.

Not sure if it will show up or not but basically its a 30\31 build. Taking Conflagrate in destro and going down to Master Demonoligist for 10% increased damage when succy is out. So, any thoughts?

You've not taken Backlash, Shadowfury or Soul Leech, all of which are nice PvP talents. You've taken Demonic Sacrifice and Master Demonologist, which are debatable decisions both together and alone: for PvP you'll have a Succubus out and the damage bonus is nothing incredible. If I were you I'd backtrack a little in Demonology and go further in Destruction for it, if you really are set on Destruction:

I've dropped Improved Succubus since if you're Seduce-nuking then the Duration isn't anything to write home about, picked up Master Summoner since 0.5 second summons are great, but had to drop Master Demonologist since it was hurting your points that could be put to better use in Destruction (+20% to coefficients and +2% to damage > +10% to damage IMO).
Sequence would probably be:
(Seduce > Nuke) x 3 > Shadowfury > Nuke until dead or 12 seconds expire > Repeat.

I too have been playing with build's.
I find THE SINGLE BEST dmg I can do is with a build that includes Sacrifice.
I personally wouldnt go stacking fire as a destro spec, and I dont really know why everyone thinks that its a fire build.
Having leveled Destro, I can tell you from experience, stack shadow dmg. not fire.
You will up your dmg output by prolly at least 30%.
Curse of shadows + imp shadowbolt/bane/ruin/sacced succy > any other dmg spec, IF you stack crit/shadow dmg
Right now im currently running my bg's spec, wich is afflic/sac, running around 1/4 million dmg per bg, longer bg's im running close to half a million. Some AV's I've hit 900k dmg. I use what i call my Dot macro. target, dot dot dot, change target dot dot dot, so and so forth, ive wiped groups of 6 adversaries this way, as syphon life gave me just enough healing to out last them.
You can armory Curr/Azshara, and see I dont have the best equipement, Karazhan level stuff. I couldnt imagine the dmg from a lock using sacrifice in BT gear.
Maybe a lock geared up to that that has tried it can spit out a number, my personal best s-bolt crit (after the imp s-bolt debuff is up is 8.2k) I think with a s-priest you can get it alot higher)
Oh and to answer your question, For pvp (arena) you pretty much need to hit soul link.
