we tried to down him again yesterday and only got as close as 4%.
raid composition:
1 druid MT
2 prot warriors
1 fury warrior
6 healers (two druids, two or three pallies and a priest or two)
2 rogues
ranged dps consisting of hunters, mages, locks, shadow priests
we were having LoS issues with the druid tank being healed in the water and his two healers in the water outside of the ring behind him. CC on the outer islands was ok, and the three warriors tanking the guardian adds were also doing ok until the fury warrior got hit by a lag spike and died (also did not help he only had 420 defense with his full tanking set on), forcing me to rotate over to pick up his add while the MT picked up my add on the next submerge. this worked until the MT got caught out of position in the water and lurker somehow knocked him under the ring, then adds broke out and slowly wiped the raid out.
a quick look at recount showed low dps from one of the shadow priests, and though lurker is not a very melee friendly fight, i expected more damage out of the rogues.
being short one healer and some people (including healers) perhaps not being used to the fight and not fully prepared (some people did not bring enough pots/flasks/elixirs) made the difference.
on a side note, i am wondering if my gear is adequate to tank lurker. i'm pretty used to the fight now and not scared of a big fish beating on me, plus i'm sure it would solve LoS issues. armory here. raid buffed, i hit 18k health and 17k+ armor, with dodge going up to about 24ish%. i was not wearing my goblin rocket launcher when i logged.
