today at school my friend came up with the idea of twinking at 49, which i'm fine with and considered just stopping there for awhile to pvp. I plan on being a destruction lock by than.
I've been thinkin about it and how shadowburn realize on soulshards as does felhunter. Since I'm gunna stay at 49 to pvp, i shouldn't be getting xp and leveling, but i can't think of any other way of getting shards.
What should i do? just farm them while i am in the bg? or just stock up a rediculous amount and just use those? Go out to ally areas around my level and gank people to get shards?
also, another question. When i spec i am going to put 30 points into destruction and get confligerate, but also i am going to put 5 points into affliction to get instant corruption. This gives me 4 points remaining, what do you recommend to put those in?

You can farm shards within the battleground. Just make sure you use Drain Soul on a few each fight. That's how I do it. God knows I don't farm them anywhere.
I've noticed a.. glitch.. in the game mechanics, though. If you put your demon on stay and run off, it will return the shard to you. Commonly known fact. However, if you join a battleground without a demon, and die, upon resurrection you will receive the last summoned demon. Free of charge. No shard needed.
Simply put that demon on stay, run off, cash in the shard, die, put the demon on stay, cash in another shard, etc. Not very efficient, nor good for your score, but it's a way to get shards without farming.

Yup, before every raid, I join AV just to get shards because then I don't have to deal with repair bills, and why not get a little honor too =)

yea you can get soul shards from pvping, since i digned 70 i havent killed a single NPC, besides in AV. just throw on drain soul on targets that are almost dead. if u see two people fighting and ur faction is winning that fight just get off mount and start draining, and let him do all the work. :-D
