Daggers any use?Follow

Now, I was looking through my bank yesterday, and found Malchazeen and Blade of the Unrequited.

Is there any use for them? Some spec or somesuch? I was thinking mutilate, but the BotU looked a tad fast for offhand. I've always been swords; mostly combat swords, and at times hemo swords. Is there any use I could put them to, or are they fated to just take up 2 bank slots until daggers actually find some use?

Thanks much. :)

By the time daggers actually find some use, there'll be much better daggers as those two.

If you ever wanted to go combat daggers, or go Muti for PvP.

You can just go PvP after removing two pieces of armor for much the same effect.

What they mean is daggers are completely gimped by resilience now because all dagger specs are highly crit reliant. With the abundance of resilience gear that is easy enough to get daggers wont have much use unless they change some game mechanic.

Until that day however daggers will have no use in pvp. Trust me I tried to use them in every facet of play until 70 by 60 I couldnt stand it any longer. They just cant compete nowadays.

Understandably, they're crap for PvP; however, is there any use for them PvE-wise?

They're strictly worse than equivalent swords by a considerable degree, so not really.

You're so wrong that it's laughable. Seal Fate is the only thing in a Mut build that's crit-reliant.

Mut is a viable PvP build, though it suffers from a lack of mobility. There are still plenty of top rated rogues that are mut, and have used mut to get to the top; Megaphone being one of them, Seikun being another.

Mut is the highest DPE attack that a rogue has; fitting, because it's a 41-point talent.

The reason that so many top rated rogues are ShS is because there's a lot to be said for mobility in this season of arenas where druids are so dominant in 2s, and where every class uses snares of some type or another to peel melee classes off their healers.

Mut's damage is fine, even against high resilience targets, it's just the lack of mobility and survivability is what tends to scare most good rogues away.

Mute is still a very decent jack of all trades build... and a hell of a lot of fun to play. Could use them to change pace for a bit if you get sick of combat swords I guess... Not the best for anything really end game (except maybe fun... IMHO only)... but certainly still a well rounded build that is functional.
