Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe casters benefit well from the higher level tailoring recipes they get. They're a little time intensive to gather mats but they're definitely worth the time. If you enjoy instancing then i would say the hallowed garments would be good for your entry level healing in kara, but as I said I may be wrong, my only 70s are a druid and pally so this is by far not my area of expertise

Primal Mooncloth and Whitemend set are great and can last you all the way through kara. The only piece I have replaced is the hood with the Light-Collar of the Incarnate from Prince.

Once in kara, you can pick up a nice healing mace from Maiden or Prince. The first boss drops nice healing gloves. Various trinkets, off-hands, cloaks drop that are good for a healer.

In other words, your tailored sets, along with blues you may get from other sources give you a good start into kara. Once there, a healer gears up pretty quickly if they are a frequent raid member.

With the primal moon and the whitemend sets, you are really only lacking a good healing weapon. Nothing beats the welfare epic Gladiator's Salvation mace, with it's +375 to heals. At 25200 honor and 20 EoTS marks, it's an easy one that you can start earlier on. Of course who knows what 2.4 holds.....

Primal mooncloth and whitemend will last you through kara, gruul, mag, and into ssc/tk. Only thing it lacks is stam, which will be made up for in T5. Fill in a few blues from 5 mans and you'll be ready for kara. Only thing that sux about getting 5 peice of crafted gear is you will get far less drops.

If you do get a peice to drop that has more stam than your current peice take it for a stam set or get pvp gear for stam set. You will need that later on if you plan on progression past t4 content.

if you're lucky you dont have to worry..

If you can get into a guild who can clear kara in one evening(as most does) I'm pretty sure you can join them in whatever gear you have.. =)

The only one through rep is 299 healing. The pvp mace is much better and well worth the time it takes to get. That way, if you have horrible luck on Light's Justice drops from Prince you won't be stuck with a crappy blue.

Course after 2.4 and once your server has unlocked it you'll be able to purchase this mace for only 150 badges Smiley: eek so consider the pvp one until you have that many badges.

I will throw one thing out there, grind Lower City rep. This is a must for any healing class, at revered it gives you a healing trinket that you can equip in both slots, and is one of the best pre kara trinkets in the game. http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?source=live;witem=30841;locale=enUS

Other then that, if you have the tailoring patterns, you are about ready for Kara.

Apart from the PMC and whitemend set, there are some pretty nice rep-rewards from various factions. And get some pvp-stuff for the slots you still lack good items

Drops from Murmur in Heroics Shadow Labs. Unless you have good guild groups to run this with, getting the pvp mace would still be easier than pug'ing this heroic.

I completely forgot about this one Hand of Eternity it's crafted by blacksmiths (365), but has no tradeskill requirement to use.
