Talent points for non-soloingFollow

Starting next week, I'm going to be levelling mage with a static five-man party. We're gonna do instances, quests, etc. Basically, I'll never be soloing.

We'll be starting at 15-16, and I'm not sure how to spend my talent points. I'm looking to finish up with a 10/48/3 build, but I certainly wouldn't mind respeccing along the way.

Right now my first three points will go into elemental precision, because I imagine we'll be fighting a lot of higher level mobs, which means more resists. But after that, should I start working my way down the fire tree, or should I put the ten in arcane to get clearcasting? Or is it simply a matter of preference?

Thanks for the help.

I wouldn't put your early points into arcane, it is too mana inefficient to take advantage of it (imo).

I would put your points into frost then move towards frost channelling for the reduced threat, but then again, I enjoyed leveling as frost.
