Enhancement Totems (Relics)Follow

So I was looking at Heroic boss drops, and I found this:

Totem of the Astral Winds

I know that would be good for Enhancement, but currently I am rolling with the Heroic Badge Totem:

Stonebreaker's Totem

I was wondering if anyone knew the math, or where to find the math, as to which of these Totems would be the better choice? I find the proc to be up quite often on my Stonebreaker's as I try to Shock every time the CD is up (unless waiting to ES a spell or some other reason).

Could it be a simple case of, "If you Shock every CD, use Stonebreaker's, if not, use Astral Winds"? Or are the numbers here more complicated?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

My Shaman: Maulgak

nm his main hand, I am working up the honor for his second weapon now

EDIT: while I am here, was thinking Mongoose for my weapons. This generally the best way to go?

You can try executioner on your MH since Shamans don't get quite the bonus from agility that rogues and tanks do and haste really is counter-intuitive for enhance shamans.

I personally prefer the Stonebreaker totem since WF in theory only has a 16% proc rate.

This means you're only get 16% of the 160 AP (80 AP per WF, 2 attacks per proc) which comes down to about 25 AP.

If this is the case the Stonebreaker totem proc would only have to be up around 30% of the time to give you a more steady AP increase, not to mention the stonebreaker proc will affect all of your attacks, not just WF. Oh, and the Stonebreaker totem will unleashed rage AND mental quickness.

Section 3.3 covers this in detail.

Why use 1 totem? when you can use both? Allow me to explain...

Shadow dancer the addon - acquired from cursegaming.com

This addon will change the totem type (not just totems, but weapons & shields too) depending on the spell/ skill you are using.

Currently, I have at least 1 totem for each spell that I cast during pvp/pve encounters.

I'm pretty sure swapping weapons triggers the global cooldown. I'm not sure how this applies to Relics, or whether a Shaman would actually care, but it can't hurt to warn you.

It triggers the global cooldown and, more importantly, resets your swing timer. It's doable as Elemental or Resto if you swap after you start casting, since you don't care about a slightly longer GCD or the swing timer, but it's not really doable as Enhancement.

I did that on my Paladin for a while, but it got kindof annoying having the GCD go off every time I was swapping my Librams. I had one tied to my Consecration, one to each healing spell, one to my HS, and one to Judgement. Now the only macro I use is my HS one to make sure that when I'm using HS I have my Libram of Repentance on. I'll swap my other Librams manually if I decide they'll be beneficial, but swapping so often is just a pain for me and not worth it.
