I got some...acceptable items for my little tree dr00d. Of course, I need better.

Now, I came across this set, explained a bit here.

Is it worth taking it in order to start healing Heroics? Or is it crappy?

I need to enter both Heroics and Karazhan. But most players told me that it is more common to first enter HC then Kara.

So...is it worth taking the set? Or should I be looking for something different?
With 25 MP5, it doesn't look so appealing. (sp?)

Edit: stupid sites not working properly...

Man, is it me or the link to the new spec is really f**** up? When I link to it, it shows me 1 really stupid build.

I wanted to show a different build for resto+ some points in Balance. Points taken from HT improvements and Tranquility, as OoC removed( don't stay in melee range). But of course the site isn't working.

Okay, first I looked at your spec. There's 3 Balance talents that actually help with healing, and you didn't go deep enough into the balance tree to get any of them. Lunar Guidance, Moonglow, and Dreamstate. Yes, this means you can't have ToL form and get the Balance talents that help with healing. You can't even get Empowered Rejuvination.

The 2 vanilla PvE healer specs are: "Tree of Life", with all your talents in Resto except maybe getting Nature's Grasp; and "Restokin", with 33 Points in Balance to get Lunar Guidance, Moonglow, and Dreamstate, maybe 34 to get Moonkin form, and the remaining 27/28 points in Restoration.

If you already have the rep for it, It's decent gear. About the same +healing and Int as our 3.5 set, more Stam, 25 mp/5 instead of 85 Spirit, same number of sockets. Not sure if there's better gear pre-heroics/Kara for trees, I was Feral until SSC/TK.

I think what he wanted was a build with all the necessary talents to heal in raids, but also have some points in balance for solo/pvp viability (rather than whacking mobs to death with his branches at the speed a level 30 hunter can kill a level 50 non-elite). This build is actually almost exactly like a build I used to use, except I took the points out of NG and IMF to get CoN. This is a great build, however you must have the necessary +heal to make it so you can heal with pretty much HoTs alone. If your gear provides less than 1000-1300 +heal (depending on the gear of the tanks you get) you're better off with the HPS from a dreamstate build. That being said, you can solo most anything (except rock and wind elementals) pretty quick with the build you suggested, dragon.

this is the dreamstate build. You may think it's f**** up, but the purpose of this build is to provide high HPS at a low HPM, which you will need if your gear is subpar for a HoT build. This spec has more mana regeneration and more raw +healing than the HoT builds, but fizzles out due to the low mana efficiency of HT. This build also allows you to DPS fairly well, albeit not as well as a full balance druid. It's capable of off-healing or DPSing dependent upon what you need for a run. Some fights in Kara, like Shade or Nightbane, don't really need a HoT healer that much if you've got a lot of group heals, and extra DPS helps those fights.

So, dragon, pre-1k +heals I'd recommend the DS/NS build. Post-1.3k go with your build. In the middle, it's up to you. Personally, I use this for my build, and don't even bother soloing - I got mining and herbalism to make money on this guy.
