i havent pvpd in a while but from what i remember most of my shivs were done in a cheapshot, or while running after somebody behind them, neither of which can be dodged anyway. Im sure there were some instances where i would shiv out of stun from the front though, and i dodge would suck then.

Of course, all other snares can be dodged/resisted i believe so it really seems natural. right? kinda sucks, but i understand it.

Shiv could already be resisted, and adding misses in completely ***** over rogues trying to shiv eachother in evasion.

miss and dodge are different theo. miss you mitigate with +hit, and shiv just needs 5% +hit like all other yellow attacks in pvp.

the dodge part *will* suck, but it really just affects rogue v rogue. i think thats why you never really heard about this bug; if a clothie gets shivved and randomly dodges KS, who cares if shiv is bugged to be undodgeable, and dodge chance is so low natively (compared to an evading rogue) that youre not at all likely to notice anything aside from the fact that a rogue is hitting you and it hurts. much less pay attention to what skills aside from finishers are dodged.

again, it sucks, but a bug fix is a bug fix. i hated it when they fixed the new rank of execute with sweeping strikes, but i got over it. its totally imba one-shotting a full life warrior just because i full rage executed the mage for 10k. but it *was* fun.

If I still cared about pvp, I'd be pissed about this.

It doesn't just affect rogues, druids and warriors can also have some rather high damage mitigation. It's not a huge 'nerf' or anything (in fact, it's more of a 'fix'), but it'll still suck for a lot of rogues.

Ah well.
