Your gear, talents, hair colour and all other questionsFollow

So I hope that we could make one bigger post where everyone could post their questions about gear, talents and so on. Too many people make new thread when asking if they need to have more spell dmg or whatnot.

I'm proposing this one as the official "dummy thread" and ofcourse starting it my self. --->

I crafted just few days ago my spellfire set and specked to fire (made my modification on the 10/48/3 for fun) and yesterday got my spellstrike pants. I was lacking a lot of spell hit so got some gems to fill those slots. Now my question is that should I go after those gem bonuses or just use +9 dmg gems and so on. I know my HP is awful but thats why I'm here asking. Here is my ARMORY

Also I'm going to get soon spellstrike hood and Battlemaster's Audacity
So what gems should I use if I'm gonna do mostly 5-mans/heroics and maybe soon Kara also. Going to replace one ring with pvp-one(?) and wand with badge purchased wand. Any pointers or dislikes are welcome.

-edit. Forgot to mention that ofcourse I will get runic spellthreat to those pants as soon as possible. Also enchants are coming but you are welcome to make comments also what should I take.

Okay, to answer some of your questions:

Remember, you do not need to match the gem/socket colors. Gem into spell damage and spell hit (those are your two biggest dps increases). You need to be shooting for 164 spell hit (for raid bosses). Veiled noble topaz are great gems to use. You could also get the +spellhit enchant (+15 I believe) on your gloves until you can max out (cap) your spell hit.

You also have not yet gemmed a few of your pieces of gear, so get on that when you can.

For the other trinket get Icon of the Silver Crescent, not the battlemaster one.

Also, don't forget to get the Glyph of Power (Sha'tar revered) for your hood, adds some spellhit and damage.

Yes I do know that I dont have to match gem colours and reason why there are empty gem slots is the reason for this post. Also that silver crescent trinket is the next thing that I'll purchace and not the wand.

Should I go for some pvp rewards for wrists and few other or are those any good when entering kara and heroics. And honest opinion about my HP. I'm not tanking sort of mage but still there are aoe situations and those hurt quite a lot. Do I have to have more HP or should I just worry about hit and dmg more?

Thanks for the tip on hood. Gonna make my way revered asap then.

you will be getting more hp as you gear up. If you pick up those couple pieces (wrists + boots) that will help you out in the HP department. You will gain HP as you get more gear, it is the way that it is kind of itemized. Grab the warlock gear that you can, that tends to have more HP and more +dmg but less crit.
