Hey everyone. I was just wondering if patch 2.4, which looks imminent in the next few days, will result in a brand new set of PVP gear (BG rewards and arena)? I was about to gear up my feral bear until I thought of this possibility - might wait till after the patch to start getting it so that I don't end up with an incomplete set. Anyone heard anything?

We just had a Patch Download so I am sure it will be coming within the next couple days.

You would have a complete set of gladiator's even if you replace say your S1 leg set with an s3 item it will still keep the set bonus for that group.

I was worried because a few months ago, I got the Grand Marshall's shoulderpads as BG reward gear for my druid. I stopped playing him for awhile and a few patches came out. When I went back to Champion's Hall I saw the new gladiator line on sale, and it didn't match my Grand Marshall's set anymore. I wasn't sure if the same thing will happen again.

Are you sure it didn't match? Is it possible that you were looking at the Balance/Resto gear instead of the feral gear? The sets will combine across the same segment of gear, but not different ones. You can't combine Balance wrists and Feral shoulders, for example.

Look for the final word: Sanctuary = feral gear. Refuge = Resto. Wildhide = Balance. I think I got those right.

Though season 4 is not upon us, I am fairly certain I saw some new blue-quality lvl 70 pvp gears bein introduced with the next patch. Supposedly, you buy them with gold... and there's a rep requirement...

From the first line of the Items section of the 2.4 patch notes:
Quote:
Players will now be able to purchase level 70 Superior quality PvP items from reputation vendors.

I saw the gears somewhere official... but i dont remember now... you could prolly find them on yer own if you looked hard enough.

Cheers,

They are pretty weak compared to the S1 Glad stuff - just give you a bit of a head start on resilience so you don't get smashed too much when you first start arenas & BG's.

A few of the season 4 Items have been found in the PTR builds files but Blizzard have definitely stated that S4 is a while of yet (well after 2.4) and they will announce it well before hand like they did with S3.

Thanks for confirming no changes to the BG rewards gear. The accompanying feedback was helpful too. Love these forums.

The actual pieces are named Dragonhide (Feral), Wyrmhide (Balance) and Kodohide (Restoration). The Sanctuary, Refuge and Wildhide names are for the entire set.

For instance, the feral gloves are called Gladiator's Dragonhide Gloves, but the entire feral set is called Gladiator's Sanctuary.
