Sorry to tell you but, no.
You need 12k HP buffed and you need to have 164 spell hit (thats capped) or be pretty darned near it. Run more Kara for PvE epics, you cant 25 man raid in all that PvP crap, you seriously lack spell hit rating.

The normal tactic of mage tanks on maulgar is to switch out crafted epics (frozen or spellfire) for stamina gear.

Our mage tanks with alot of pvp gear. He uses the staff off of curator, bloodgem, ce ring to get his spell hit and we never have any trouble.

You don't have to be at 164 spellhit for the maulgar fight, would it be good? yes, but remember elemental precision only affects (I believe) frost+fire spells, so arcane spells with spellsteal wouldn't be affected in the first place. If you pick up the arcane talent (can't remember the name off the top of my head) that reduces their resistance by 10% then you only need 76 to be capped. I never had too much trouble as long as I had around 50 spellhit. But I do agree, you will need around 12khp buffed. That means that a warlock should be putting a phase-shifted imp next to you + kings + fort + food buff should get your pretty close to that. I personally just looked on the AH for stam gear.

I mage tanked gruul's last night with 54 to hit. The trick? Toss on a fire ward and icebarrier/mana shield 2 seconds before your shield runs out. That way you can survive a missed steal and resteal before his next shot. (only one person dropped the whole fight)

I went in with 13k buffed 102 spell damage and 54 to hit.
