Well school has calmed down alot (senior year high school). And my gf and i are returning to WoW. She wants to try a warlock, so i was wondering from a warlocks point of veiw, what is your favorite/most useful duo class?

Prot pally for sure.

Heals, can hold aggro on a bunch of mobs at one time, rez, extra mp5 and buffs on the demon.

My gf and I are a duo, I'm a warlock, she's a hunter. Just play a class that you enjoy. Almost all combinations make good duos. The best duos are tank/healer combos, as they can find groups for instances better. If she's set on warlock that won't happen though. If you pick a tank or healer class though, getting into instance groups would be easier. That's the problem we had levelling, noone needs 2 DPS for an Instance, if one was a tank or healer though it's real easy to say yeah I'll go if my DPS friend can come.

There's also quite a lot of synergy between warlocks and shadow priests. I have a couple of friends who have leveled up 2 or 3 of each playing together and they just have a blast.

I would have to say have fun. I agree with the 2 suggestions here to improve your grouping potential.

warlock/druid (tank/healer/DPS depending on spec)
warlock/paladin (sort of -> you may find the paladin just not enough DPS and aggro)
warlock/shadow priest (very nice synergy here - use voidwalker to tank).
warlock/hunter will kill most anything and quickly but not as attractive for groups. This rocks as a leveling pair though.

I've tried a lot of combinations - I'm a warlock, my wife is an altaholic. I think that the best combos I've found are 'lock/druid and 'lock/shaman. Both are healing/utility classes and can support a warlock without overwhelming.

lock [any spec] + rogue.

underestimate it and you die while seeing just one :P

The problem with 'lock + rogue is my wife's complaint that I don't let her rogue alts use stealth. Stealth really slows things up a lot. She also doesn't get to practice her pickpocketing. About the only thing that a rogue brings to the table is DPS with the chance of taking damage unless the warlock's pet can grab the aggro. And if the warlock's pet is grabbing aggro, then the rogue isn't putting out enough DPS. If I want a partner with CC, I'll take a mage any time over a rogue. Sap needs the rogue to stealth up to the mob, and that takes too much time. Sorry, but rogue isn't my personal favorite for duoing.

Take a Pally.

Rolling Ret for earlier levels will keep agro on you via damage, and with your ability to heal and the Lock's fear ability you'll be able to handle even the most insane fights.

Then when you're ready to switch over to Prot (can be done at 20, I suggest waiting to 35ish) you're actually gonna WANT the most insane of fights. You'll be able to keep agro on large groups while she either DoTs them up or Rain of Fires them.

For PVE you're taunt works perfectly for this AE Combo style, as you taunt all monsters currently agroing a player (so if she pulls whole AE group you can just pull them all back), but fact of the matter is you'll both be doing about the same damage output - which is ridiculously high.

For PVP and difficult PVE targets, the Paladin will take ages to kill (even by High elites, ect) and has the ability to protect the Warlock many times over, where the Lock has fear, Succubus, and the damage output required to take the targets down.

In the later stages of the game, it will be easier for you to go Holy, allowing for either Fear Dotting or (in this case what may be better) just straight multi-dotting allowing the Lock to tank and the Pally to heal for ridiculous kills per second. In instances as some people have said before, you being a healer will make people more prone to inviting the both of you to the group, and with the neverending Mana of a Holy pally mixed with Life tap... lets just say the Warlock will be worth the group spot.

Everything you said is great, but, because I don't want any misconceptions, pally taunt only affects 3 mobs. The only way to pull a whole group back is if they are melee by using BoP.
