Well as any young warrior, I started my journey at 51 to get that juicy Ice Barbed Spear a few levels back.....and boy did I leave many face prints on the snow after getting acquainted with allys with OL gear >.<
Anywho I vowed to return a bad **** and get me some! Well with my newly dinged 59 warrior I stepped in AV along nice OL quest plates (no hellreaver yet T.T) and I was #1 damage in AV! Wootsauce I said but lost it to a hunter, then a mage and then a rogue @_@, but 4th was still pretty good for me.
Maybe its just the bracket but I'm really looking forward to do some nice PVP with him later on (mostly at 69 since at 70 its an epiced kind of world >.>)

best time to do a bit of fair ground BG is at 60 for AV. 59 for the other 2. Most people are wearing gear that are really high in stats that are not from the Azeroth world and you can really destroy those 57 and below that think they should try to do BGs at that lvl.

Aye, I plan on doing a good amount of PVP at 60. Right now Im working on just getting the marks for my PVP mount, I'll save all my honor for later ^_^V
I pvp'd my warrior a bunch at 60, and it was a blast.
I never got the hellreaver from Ramparts because I was afraid to level before I wanted to.
This nice, level-60 BoE sword available from the AH has about the same stats and served me well: Blade of Misfortune.
Pvp at 69 is great for getting marks from AB, WSG, and EOTS. However, at 69, you fall into the 61-70 AV bracket, which is usually the best place to get honor. As a 69 warrior, I was usually a free HK for the epicced-out 70s that now seem to be the rule rather than the exception in level 70 BGs.
At least the level 69 Crystalforged War Axe is a decent pvp weapon until you find something better at 70.
The last 2 toons I leveled to 70 had enough marks and honor to get 3 pieces of pvp gear when they dinged, and it made the transition to 70 pvp much smoother.
