So ive picked out my alt fromt he dust and begun to level him for my guild.
he's currently a resto dreanai lvl 28. And i was wondering what sorta progression of areas, quests and more importantly, instances and items i should be going after?
Cause this is the first time iam leveling a healer and its been a year and a half since ive actually run around azeroth.

Basically...
1. If you want to level fast, level as a DPS spec. Enhancement is clearly the better DPS spec at first. At level ~39 elemental is an option but still not better than Enh. At level 60+ after you grab all the early Outlands +dmg gear, I felt Elemental was better at questing/leveling than my buddies who went/stayed Enhancement, but both specs are viable.
2. As offspec you can still mainheal anything up til BC instances. Accumulate a second set of healing gear while leveling/instancing.
3. Google "Joana's leveling guide" for extremely detailed descriptions of which zones/quests to take for optimal XP generation. Many other leveling guides exist, and I have no clue if Joana's is the best. It's merely the one that sprung to mind since someone mentioned it recently.
4. Nearly every instance has upgrades for you. Wowhead.com is my preferred site for using filters to search gear. "2h Weapons" (or "Mail") combined with "Found in Any Instance" combined with a "required level" spread near your own (24-30) will provide excellent DPS upgrade options. Maximize Str, AP, and Crit to maximize your leveling speed (generally in that order).

As a shaman myself i'll say IMO you should respec Enhance till 70 and then go Resto. That's just what i did but going ele at 60 may not be bad, but idk because i've nvr lvled as ele. Though chain lightning is fun to use :).

You will just be a crappy-out of gear-spec'd Shaman like the rest.
I changed from Ele/Resto to full Resto at 40, thats when I saw the most demand for healers and when I got tired of saying I wasn't one. You will lack decent chain gear for +heal til your 50's in BRD, so I would base the decesion on your server but respec at 58/60 for the Outlands gear.
Unless your gonna save up some healing gear, I would change sooner.
