whats the best melee hunter wep?Follow

i was wondering what your guys' opinion on what the best melee wep for hunters would be

the 2-handed axes are sweet, but is there anything else?

HAHA - yes definably a hunters weapon.

I hope this thread is a joke as if not then i am sorry , but hunters are not the best at melee..

A straight answer is depending on level , A hunters weapon/weapons should hardly be used but get any weapon with agility on it , that is the main thing a hunter needs and at low level the two handers are usually better for stats , at high level there are +crit and other buffs weapons can have that are better than agility but i am sure others will comment better than i can on that...

OK I am going to assume that you don't really want to actually melee with the weapon beyond the wing clip--frost trap-- run to range and open fire and that you really want to know is which weapon has the best stats for a hunter. The honest answer is it depends on the hunter/level/style of play/spec etc. I use both the season 3 axe (PVP some PVE) and the sonic spear (PVE instances) depending on what I am doing and what stats I want to enhance.I leveled dual wielding two axes. I hope that helps.

On the off-chance that this guy was using a melee weapon for the stats, or the looks (instead of as a meleer) you guys could have seriously screwed him up. The way he worded his post didn't automatically mean "I'm a melee hunter." While it does look somewhat like it, there's still a good chance he isn't.

The post also does not state level either so more info would have helped .

the truth is there is no best melee weapon , but there is a best weapon for different levels , at first things like agility and stamina rule over weapon type end game it might be + crit or + ap ( there has been so much said about different end game weapons and their stats i will not repeat it all ) but still i say the same thing , the type of weapon does not matter but the buffs always do.

All the way through to 70 i always used whatever Weapon had the best stats at the time i found them either in drops or at auction , I have used Guns , Bows , Crossbows , two handed Swords , one handed Swords , Daggers Axes , two handed Axes , staffs , polearms , for a short while i even tried some fist weapons , none were special apart from they were a decent upgrade to what i already had , At end game it all depends on if you are PvP quest or instance playing and i guess which tree your spec is also would have helped answer the question better...

Legacy is not as good as the S3 axe.

I was about to ask what made Legacy better than the S3 axe.

I have both and have been using the S3 axe cos it seemed better.

But I'm not survival so.... yeah.
