Hi guys,

Just made a rogue alt and got a sugar-daddy main so gold isnt a big issue (so dont need a gatherer prof).

For maximizing pve dps which 2 of the 3 following proffesion to go for; ench, JC or Engineering.

-Enchanting for the ring enchants
-JC for the BOP gems
-Engi for the goggles

Whish I could take all 3 but what 2 will be best for raid dps?

EDIT: also consider some of the new 2.4 recipies (jc trinkets, new engi goggles etc)

Tx for your input

imo if you were full geared. jc and enchanting would be your best bet. but that's if you are. if not. engineering will make it easier to get through the early parts of raiding because the goggles that you can get at first are better than t4. But really the ring enchants are almost pointless for melee.

Right now a JC can only make a unique gem, is that right? So not much gain. Any more recipes coming?
Engineer goggles are cool, but only slightly better than T4 head IIRC. And it's only one item.
Enchanting seems a possibility, since you can improve any ring you get, so you are always ahead.

I wonder if LW is not the best profession actually? You can make very good shoulders, primalstrike set (or just the chest) for starters, very good chest soon in the expansion.

I would take enchanting and LW. Engineering if you like trinkets.

I plan on dropping skinning for mining and then engineering when I get the mats gathered to power it up so I will be running a LW/Engineer combo.

Leatherworking for:
-Fel Leather set bonus
-Primalstrike set
-New chest off Sunwell mobs
-Drums
-Armor kits

Engineering for:
-Goggles
-Jumper Cables
-Repair Bot
-Various bombs and trinkets for PvP

I'm sticking to engineering for one very good reason:

If I still didn't need the income from mining I'd go enchanting. Seems like I spend a lot of time and money to get stuff enchanted. Gems are not that expensive imo.

Good luck!
