So I had been asking for some help with arena matrices, and I figured I would post up and let you guys know how we did.

My 2v2 team of me and a Demo lock went 8-2 in our first week of matches. We raised our rating from just over 1400 to just over 1500.

The only teams to beat us were 2 full S3 locks and a War/Pally team.

We fought the War/Pally team again the next round and it came down to me and the holy pally, and I somehow managed to wear him down and we got our revenge.

Against the 2 S3 locks I probably used my Cloak of Shadows too soon and that probably cost us the match. It came down to me and 1 of the locks and he killed me with right around 4k HP left.

We couldn't find the exact people we wanted for a 5s team, so we rolled with me, a fury war in mostly PVE epics, a fire mage in mostly PVE epics, the same lock from my 2v2 team, and a holy pally with about 400 resil who was trolling trade channel looking for a team for the week to get points.

The 5s team went 6-4 for the week and raised the rating from 1409 to 1450, and we all considered it a success and will be back next Monday to do it again.

On the 5s team, we did fine against any other 4 DPS teams we fought. I would get on the healer and try to lock them down while the other 3 DPS focused on the squishiest DPS they could find, usually a shaman. We ran into some serious trouble against 2 healer teams (although we did win 1 match against 1) and got decimated by a team with a holy pally and 2 druids.

Overall I had a lot of fun and look forward to doing more PVP with my rogue. I'm hoping once I can get geared in all PVP gear our 2s team can get me to the point of being able to buy the rating-required gear.

Grats bro.

I know it's not an ideal team, but I've had a lot of fun the past couple of weeks 2v2ing with a RL friend that's a ret pally. We've been floating in between 1600 and 1650. I love BoF. :D

I really think me and the lock have potential in 2s.

We're gonna hit a glass ceiling, probably around 1600, until I can get more PVP gear, but once I'm in at least full S1 I know we can get to the rating for S3 weapons at least.

Well, at least I'm hoping we can...

Yeah, and lock/rogue is an easy team to get that on, especially considering he's probably not in one of the top BGs.

I'm in Rampage, which I've heard is a pretty tough one.

I don't know, my 3s team might have a better chance at 1850.

Me and the lock just having fun for now and I'm a looooong way from geared for 1850. I have like 9100 HP and 123 resil right now.

Ah, yeah, that's different then; you can expect to see fully-geared people starting in the 1700s.
