I have a question for all of you true Paladins out there. I have a large stable of characters I have leveled up and my signature is not quite up to date. With that being said, I normally pair myself up with a RL friend who plays a 70 Holy pally with a combination of raid gear and Arena gear. I am trying to figure out the best combination to play alongside the Paladin in Arena 2's and 3's. I currently have a 70 Shadow Priest, a soon to be 70 rogue, and my hunter is now level 58... we have not had much luck with the Spriest and Holy Paladin as we do not offer enough burst damage. Our fights can often last quite a while, but we normally end up about even in regards to wins and losses, and that is due primarily to him knowing how to heal like a champ.

I am a long way from leveling up another dps type class to 70 though, so do we have a chance with any of the 3 potential 70's as listed above? Other option is for me to start leveling a lower class... everyone is in love with Druids, but I just do not like playing them.

tbh there isnt really a best combination in 2v2 that involves a holy pally. at least not currently (2.4 may change that with the addition of res effecting drain effects.)

in 3v3 i think you could make either of your 70s work if you get a decent 3rd. maybe a lock.

Though it is no longer the "zomg win" team like it was in past seasons, a well played warrior is still an excellent partner for a paladin, all plate makes them a very hard nut to crack for physical dps, and if you can keep him moving with freedom a good arms warrior can chew through casters in short order.

I've been meaning to try Warrior/Paladin/Hunter in a 3v3 team. In any team with a warrior and paladin the non plate member is the obvious target, and a hunter is very well equipped for staying out of trouble. Viper sting, a scorpok pet and silencing shot make for very effective mana drain too.

Given that your hunter is a long way from 70, you will probably want to persist with the shadow priest, then a lock is the obvious choice, lots of dots, and usefull CC for keeping your paladin free to heal, with mana drain as an option when you can't nuke them down.

If you want to use the rogue, I used to do quite well with Warrior/Paladin/Rogue in season 2, the rogue was capable of keeping any healer stunlocked for a long time while the warrior nuked something, keep the warrior moving and try and cleanse any CC off the rogue was my basic job.
