Affliction or DemoFollow

Folks;

I'm a fairly new lvl 70 and am doing 5 mans to get my gear up to where we can start kara. So, I am interested in doing good dps in 5 mans. I was in shadow labs last night with another lock (a demo lock) with his felguard. I looked at his gear and he had mostly greens which (he said) added up to 409 spell damage. I would try to look him up, but he has all kinds of wierd characters in his name. I have 670 spell damage with my gear currently as affliction spec. He was wiping the floor with my dps. My damage meter does add the pet into the equation, so I know it wasn't just him. I had my imp out for the +stam and dark pact.

I tried the following on trash: corr -> Curse of Shadow -> SB spam till dead
I tried the following on boss: Amp Curse of Doom -> Corr -> SL -> Immol -> SB spam till dots refresh.

Is demo lock + pet > dps of affliction, or was my spell rotation crap? His spec was something like 20/41/0 (as I recall... perhaps something like 17/44/0, though... it was late). My armory.

I noticed the same thing in 5 mans. My lock is still a newer 70. I switched to afflication at one point and my dps dropped like a rock. Pet does a ton of dmg plus you get the bonus spell dmg from your stamina. My understanding is afflication heats up in 25mans. I still do well in kara on dps as demo but plan to switch if I do some 25 mans.
