How much + heal needed for heroics?Follow

I have 10k+ mana, but only +720 heal. What would you consider the min for the average heroic run?

10k Mana's good, but slight overkill for heroics.

A good rule of thumb - if you're set for Kara (6.5k health, 8k mana, 1000+ healing, 100mp/5 while casting) you're golden for heroics. With a decent group, you can get away with a little less.

To boost the bonus healing ... 3/3 Primal Mooncloth is VERY sweet. If not a tailor, snag both pieces of Whitemend. You won't be able to use the set bonus, but the items themselves are very nice. Now, if I could only get my grubby mitts on them ... :P Would make my almost 1500 bonus healing even better. :)

The amount of healing needed depends mostly on the tank you have (and on the rest of the group too). Just to give you an example - I have +1900 healing (+20% from empowered healing), and there were situations where spam casting greater heal, max rank, was not enough to keep the tank alive. Not because you need so much healing in general, but because the tank was undergeared or stupid.
So my advice is to get more +healing. Large ana pool is nice, but in heroics you are the only healer and the fights are usually shorter (than in raids), so it's better to be able to heal faster.
As a tailor I immediately reached +1500 healing when I hit 70, so +700 seems really very low.
