He is found in Durotar at the noob area and is a part of a quest for levels 3-4.
Is it a good idea to level with a scorpion? Ive leved with all sorts of pets and I want to try something new. ^^,

Scorpids get a poison ability. Read up on all pets over at Petopia. Link is in the FAQ.

They're very slow, even with Bestial Swiftness, since they don't get Dash or Dive. I wouldn't pick a scorpid for leveling.
At various times i have levelled with just about every pet family in WoW , With any pet you need to check if they can learn better skills by checking up on Petopia.
Many hunters love scorpids at end game in instances ,and they can learn Poison and Claw , Even without the extra damage of Poison and Claw it is still possible to use your pet with little real problem , but i would get the extra bonus damage as soon as you can. the venomtail scorpid in the area near the river has Claw 2 and Poison 1 at about level 10 , the Poison 2 you will need to be level 30+ to get,
