All you really need to do is go back and mine some mithril for a while until you level up to where you want to be. Sure it might not seem like a good idea for you, going back where you won't be questing, but it means u can focus on the mining.
Run laps of the badlands for mithril and you will come across a large amount of it. Also because of your level, you won't have any problem killing the mobs that you find that will speed it up any more.
I'm 375 mining and I still occasionally go to the badlands to do laps for mith, just to make a bit of cash on the side.
As for the advice to get your epic first, then go mining, it is a great idea but it sounds like you won't be able to muster the money in the first place for a long time. If that is the case, mine mith and SELL (don't blacksmith) until you can afford your mount, then keep going.
Blacksmithing is a massive sinkhole, in my opinion. Sure the very end (375) stuff can be useful, but most of the bop stuff can be replaced with something similar and everything else you can get a blacksmith to create for you.
I leveled blacksmithing to lvl 275 and decided it just wasn't worth my while continuing to level it, as it was going to cost me way too much (and I already wasted so much) and swapped out for enchanting.
Enchanting cost a bit to level up (bought most of the mats from the money I made from mining), but once you reach lvl 225 you can disenchant every green in outlands, and at 300 you can disenchant the blues.
You either have the choice there of selling all your mats, or you can use them to continue to level enchanting (which is what I chose to do). Being able to enchant yourself is pretty good for a warrior, and if you do it as you level you will normally be ahead of the rest gear wise.
So basically I recommend to drop blacksmithing, so you can make pure profit with everything you mine. Then pickup another profession - your choice. I would recommend either enchanting, engineering or skinning (enchanting for reasons already said, engineering for the end-game goggle and stuff u can make for warriors, skinning for more money though it will take a bit of effort to lvl to where you are fighting).
Hope this helps.
