Arena ?s - Trinket choice and "Wand vs Spellstone"Follow

Hey folks…I have practically completed the honor grind to obtain the full set of S1 gear in preparation for my first foray into arena (3v3). I also have the full set of veteran’s (not vindicator’s) gear as well. However, I do have questions regarding trinket choice and “wand versus spellstone”.

I assume that the Medallion is a given in the first trinket slot. The second slot is what makes me pause. One camp says to grind more for the Battlemaster trinket, while another says to obtain the Timelapse shard (and other misc trinkets). Can you guys provide some tips or directions as to what I should be using in the second slot.

My last question revolves around “wand vs spellstone” usage. I currently have the Illidari wand from the netherwing/netherdrake questline. It is currently socketed with a solid star of elune. From a stats point-of-view, it is a pretty nice wand for me. However, I wonder if I should replace that with the S1 Touch of Defeat and, ultimately, would this wondering be a waste of time since I would be using a spellstone in arenas.

On a side note, I will be speccing SL/SL and my partners will be a warrior and paladin if it makes any difference – This is really our first serious attempt at arena so our expectations are not very high.

Your thoughts and comments would be most appreciated.

if you dont have a good pvp wand then spellstone is the best choice IMO. Also as far as trinkets are concerned, the battlemaster trinket is the best BUT its hard to get, so get the timelapse shard first then work towards the battlemaster one. Also you can always just go for a stamina trinket like the commanders badge.

I'm a lvl 40 lock without a lot of dungeon experience, and I think my question is related. Should I be using a spellstone instead of a wand when in a group?
