Staff or Mace?Follow

I finally got Terestian's Stranglestaff to drop last night, and I've always wanted it, but is this better for dps than the Gladiator's Maul?(which I currently have) They're pretty comparable me thinks(which maybe I'm wrong).

I'll probably keep the staff no matter what just for the look of it, but is this better than the maul?

Yeah, it's very close, but the Stranglestaff is slightly better for PvE. The Merciless Gladiator's Maul on the other hand is a significant upgrade. (or there is a new one for 150 badges available with the next patch which blows them all away)
