I have a little trouble with Macros myself, but I bet with a little playing around, you could get it to work from the info on the WoW general board here:

Quote:
/cast [conditionals] First Spell; Second Spell; Third Item

Under conditionals:
Quote:
Button:# TRUE if the listed button number was used to activate the macro. Using a keybinding to press the button will be treated the same as a left-button click, i.e. 1. See below for the full list of button modifiers. Can be used in order to perform a different action if the button is left-clicked or right-clicked, for example.

Button List:

1. Left Mouse Button
2. Right Mouse Button
3. Middle Mouse Button
4. Fourth Mouse Button (side-buttons available on many advanced mice)
5. Fifth Mouse Button
6. Sixth Mouse Button

So my guess:

Quote:
/cast [Button 1] Fire Ward
/cast [Button 2] Frost Ward

But I'm probably wrong.

Almost right:

/cast [button:2] Frost Ward
/cast [button:1] Fire Ward

You can find a ton of good macros for mages here.

It's better with just right click & left click... then you have no need to hit a key on the keyboard. I did the same thing with portals & teleport spells (the unshifted one is for Shatt, as you can get anywhere from there).

Thanks to both of you, i finally figured it out.

(With both your advice and some of my own tweeking)

Here is the final product:
/cast [nomodifier] Fire Ward(Rank 6)
/cast [modifier:shift] Frost Ward(Rank 6)

Unless you want to cast a specific rank of a spell, if you don't specify the rank, it will always use the highest rank of the spell in question. Also, I personally would prefer the left/right click, but that's me.

/cast [mod: shift] Frost Ward; Fire Ward

Use #showtooltip at the beginning if you want the macro to show the icon for Fire Ward (and you must have the ? icon chosen on the macro creation menu).

You wanna know what's funny? This entire time, I've been reading it as "Right Click" not "Shift Click".

I really need to sleep more.

Oh, and kt the only reason im not doing right/left click is because i already have my pinky placed on shift. And because its their in my personal bubble it becomes less awkward to hit shift with my pinky than to hit my right mouse button with my middle finger.

Thats all.
