I just want to be sure that the only place that daggers suck is in PvP with resilance. Thus making them a viable leveling tool. Also anyone have stories about a really cool/funny thing you have done using Shadowstep becuase I want to be sure that Sub spec is really as cool as I think it is.

Daggers don't suck, per se, as you'll find a mutilate build can be extremely successful in high-rated arena. It just takes more effort than it would as a cookie-cutter 20/0/41 hemo build.
As far as leveling goes, combat swords will be your fastest bet, by far. Sure it'll be boring, but if you're just looking to race your way to 70, combat swords will be your surest bet. This is not to say that daggers are not viable, they're just not as efficient.

Any combat non-daggers build is better as a raiding build.
Shadowstep Hemo (20/0/41) is better as a PVP build.
The only semi-viable daggers spec is mutilate, which can still be useful in mid-ranked arena (nothing over 2k I would say) and is only a few % behind combat in raid DPS (except on Curator, Void Reaver, and Hydross, who can't be poisoned).
Overall you can't go wrong getting a nice pair of swords, especially when you get to level 70.
ShS hemo with swords works fine for arena/BGs and combat swords is still king of the raiding spec.

Daggers work fine for leveling in the same sense that Holy and Prot work fine for leveling. It can be done, and if you prefer it, enjoy. It is by no means the fastest way to level.
