ive missed blinds when i was at 120 hit rating in pvp set, you sure 79 is the standby to not miss specials anymore?

There is always 1% miss chance.

This is completely false, wrong, and awful. I hate you for posting misinformation.

There is not always a 1% chance to miss! There's no way to surpass dodge/parry chance, except by Expertise. But missing you can completely get rid of by capping hit rating for specials and white damage.

Now, Blind is a ranged attack, hence no dodge or parry. Ergo, the person you missed Blind on at 120 hit rating had to have Evasion up, or had 3% chance to miss on ranged attacks added in by talents. That leaves a mage (Arctic Winds: 5%) or rogue (Heightened Senses: 4%).

Make sense now?

I thought blind worked like a spell in that regard?

EDIT: Eh, nevermind, seems it doesn't. Going to delete the other post.

So my guild decided we have too much melee DPS for our raids and somebody has to be replaced by ranged DPS.

I actually went through and did the math all nice and neat for some whiney ShS rogue on the oboards, so here it is, copypasta'd:

Still not sure why you'd recommend the 24 AP + run speed meta over the 12 agi and 3% increased crit damage one then.

Get boars speed on your boots.

lol ur dum.

Boar's Speed is crap compared to Surefooted. Surefooted means that you need run speed somewhere else. Only other place to get it is in your meta.

After some testing, I'm going to edit my gem/enchant list a bit.

So, as noted before, these are the enchants/gems you want to be using:

Gems
Red: 8 Agi (Mut) or 16 AP (ShS/HARP/Combat)
Yellow: 8 hit until you hit 79 hit, then 4 crit/8 AP
Blue: there are none in our gear, LOL!
Meta: 24 AP/runspeed (Mut: 12 crit/5% snare resist)

Enchants
Head: CE
Chest: 150 HP, 15 resilience, or 6 stats
Wrist: 24 AP
Gloves: 15 Agi or 26 AP
Pants: 50 AP/12 crit
Boots: Surefooted

Other than our tanks, we generally run with a 1-2 fury warriors, 2-3 rogues (besides me), 2 ret pallies, and an enhance shammy.

That is entirely too much melee for any fight in TBC.

When I have an ele shaman who can put out similar DPS to my rogue, there's no reason not to switch them out.

You said your shaman is a scrub compared to your rogue. L2DPS?
