Gear Stats?Follow

I've read some posts and the sticky above regarding what exactly I should be looking for in gear. A bit confused as to what would be more important and what I should be looking for.

In this Post, there was a response to look for Spell Damage - Spell Crit - Intellect - Stamina.

Yet, in this Sticky, it shows to focus on Intellect - Spirit - Stamina (with a bit of info on Spell Hit - Spell Crit - Spell Damage).

As you can tell from my armory below, I have been going in the direction of Int>Spirit>Stam, with the occasional gear with "Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by x" and some "restores x mana every x sec".

Am I going into the right direction gear wise with getting the Int, etc.?

Also, I know I'm not there yet and I don't have to really worry about it until the time comes, but at 70, what is the min requirements that a mage should have to get into places like Kara? I do plan going mainly into fire (as I have been).

Thanks! =)

The answer is that both are right, but one is severely outdated. The sticky you linked was last updated in 2006, before TBC came out. That means that it was correct at the time, but is no longer valid.

strangely enough, your sig does not have your mage linked to the armory, so I am unable to tell what your current stats are.

At lower levels I would efinitely go with Int/Stam/Spirit then following that up with dmg if you can find something that doesn't drop too much of the other ones.

At higher levels (50+) there is more gear thas mixes the stats better where you will be going for mostly spelldmg, but will be picking up stam/int along the way with the gear.

The basic stats that I would recommend for kara would be around 700+ spelldmg buffed
over 6k hp and 7-8k mana pool. The more the better. That being said it would be important at that level to be buffing up on spellhit for the bosses where you will need 164 (for bosses) to be almost un-resistable.

Sorry about that. It should be fixed now.

Now as for Int/Stam/Spirit, would I be looking for stuff in that order? Is one more important than the other (sort of like how rogues want to go for +hit first, etc.)?

And Pol, I think someone should update the sticky then, yeah? ;P
