Last night I was talking to a friend of mine, resto druid, about ....druid stuff. And after a couple of minutes, he tells me: "man, why don't you respec resto? It is more interesting, more fun, more...everything."

I have to admit I have been thinking about this change, but I was sort of...afraid of healing. Not working too often with healing made me go more for DPS, so, at one point, almost hating to heal.

Yet, this friend of mine persuades me to respec, and I do. Luckily enough, I have gathered some...healing items, NOT the best, just from random drops, quest rewards, stuff like that. This was just in case I would EVER need to heal. (used to be tank/DPS). So...

I ended up this way. Of course, more things are to be changed, I am aware of that, some enchants are there just because I leveled enchanting, DPS gear has to be replaced, more spi+MP5, more spell dmg+heal, I know.

BUT...

I enjoy healing with this druid. Cannot explain how and why, but I just love it. And my first test was...ALTERAC VALLEY. Man, I can tell you, I managed to heal 4 guys around me with those HoTs. It is so awesome. LB, Regrowth, rejuv, Swiftmend, works so fast.

But my ultimate test was to heal Drekh'tar. Was the only healer near him. With 15 allies attacking him (don't know why so few), I managed to keep him alive for 5 good minutes. Enough for them to run out of reinforcements.

I love resto...I really do.

Seriously. No, seriously. You named your Druid Onnyxia?

But, why? Was Raggnaros already taken? Smiley: frown

That aside, I've been wanting to switch to Restoration (well, a Dreamstate build anyway), but I'm still gathering gear. Having to explain to people why I'm running around with a mix of blue Restoration and epic Feral gear gets old. Really fast.

They should enable some kind of exchange system for the PvP gear. So that we could hand over pieces of Dragonhide and get Wyrmhide, or Kodohide, in return, and vice versa.

Having to farm everything three times just to cover all bases kind of sucks when a Mage only has to farm one set.

Not that it was taken, but I started this druid hoping that I will someday meet my evil twin sister. Named in her honor.

Indeed, farming 2sets(in my case) from PVP does suck, but I will stick to end game stuff. Which is resto, in my case. DPS style for PVP is off. So, I won't be farming Honor Points like a madman. Lucky me.

And I don't think you can tell me that PVP set is good for raid resto druid..right?

The PvP set has too much resilience and health, and not enough spirit and mp5. But it's better than nothing at all.

I believe in 2.4 you will be able to purchase blue pvp gear. As for PVE gear I'm having the same problem. When I was a full time raider I sold my POS healing gear for repair money. At the time it seemed like a good idea... oh well. None of this would be a problem if I didn't have to fight over the healers to let me roll on healing gear.

IMO they should set up something to allow hybrid classes to be able to get off spec gear a little easier.

I vote for Mazra's plan.

Yeah in 2.4 you will be able to buy blue pvp gear with about 100 resilience

Heres the links with the gear...
