As we all know Shadow Priests are having a bit of a hard time in the PVP section. Many of my old Pre-TBC Shadow Priest friends have since re-spec'd to Disc/Holy for PVP.

But I really don't want to leave Shadow. I can't understand what happened. AT level 60 (Pre-TBC) my Shadow Priest ruled! People feared the whole Face Melting! Now we seem to just warm them up...in effect, we have become a bit of a warm, wet flannel. And its really sad. We have no serious..1v1 PvP tree.

At the moment..we are but a support tree. A utility in Raids. A mana battery. That is good and all at the moment. But fact is every class has a PvP tree except us. All the response we have been getting from Blizzard is "The Tree is working as expected.."

WTF does that mean?

Its time Blizzard changed the description of SPriests from "Melt Faces" to "Nibble on Toe" or just re-names the tree "Mana B8tti3s..."

Shaman come to mind.

1v1 we are extremely weak. I'm actually sure that, as an elemental shaman, a shadow priest could outlast us in 1v1 fights. Shadow Priests arent the only ones not feeling the love. But, at least you have a build you can fall back on. Holy\Disc is amazing while Restoration is 'meh' at best. 1v1 fights are all but impossible for a shaman these days.

I too remember Pre-BC when an Enhancement shaman was truely a force. Now, we are the village idiots with a flashing neon sign that says, "Free Honor!"

Hmm. I think we should re-wind time to before TBC. It was so much more fun! And then like halt the idea of ever making TBC. It just ruined so much of the game.

I totally agree when it comes to Arena. However, in BG's you are still a major force due to the utility, but you have to stay with your group to help each other out.

This is the reason that I have stopped playing alot of my Priest, as I do not want to respec, and my core group plays Arena like it is the next IT. I tend to not overly help them, and feel like a moron, so I rolled a Rogue to get some more dps in the group since we go 5 v 5 with a Fury Warrior, Paladin, Druid, Warlock, and now a Rogue instead of Shadow.

I keep on thinking about going Disc/Holy for this, but I just cannot bring myself to do it.

There is a BE discipline priest called Jeck who has put out some video on Arena with his priest called Useless Tricks. there are 4 videos out now and links to them on the O-boards. I'll try to find and edit this. They are absolutely worth the watch. Especially the humor. You can find two of the videos on You-Tube.
