Always wondered what the answer to this was...I love my drood to death, just wanted to see what you scholars thought. Take into consideration Feral, Enhancement and Elemental....just which class typically dishes out nastier DPS?

Gracias,
Jemac

Well, Depends on the player, Most of the time I could out parse druids in my group. But when I came across a decently geared boomkin or a really good geared kitty, they blew me out of the water.

cat druids will top them all, but enh dps will generally be a pretty close second (closely linked with boomkin and elemental).

the core idea behind this being druids in cat form cant heal. elemental shaman and enh shaman can. thus, cat druids are the more "pure" class, and have the stronger base ability to DPS.

its really a wash if you think about it tho; any top-notch melee dps group has an enh shammy and a feral druid in it, as well as one warrior and either a rogue or a hunter. the synergy of the buffs in that group far outshines any personal dps contribution. in terms of non-raid settings, balance, elemental, feral, and enhancement all kill with pretty equal speed.

It'll depend on your group composition, but Feral Druids will lose by a decent amount to Enhancement Shaman once you're geared out in T5 or similar. They just scale considerably better than the Druids do.

Elemental versus Moonkin, no idea. Elemental versus Feral Elemental should still win, although it depends on the fight obviously (melee-focused fights, the Elemental is still a caster); they do pretty nasty damage.
