I'm just wondering what the other resto druids out there stack when they're going for gear. I know everyone gets some +heal, some int, etc, but theres usually 1-2 stats that people get much more of than others.

I myself am a spirit *****.

I focus on +heal & Mp5. This is from the perspective of a feral druid who wants to be able to heal well.

If I was to respec seriously, then spirit would be my 3rd stat for the ToL bonus. Int is pretty much last on my priority. You can usually ignore it because all the items you pick which have +heal, Mp5 & spirit will all have a decent amount of Int anyway, so I just take whatever happens to come my way when focusing on the other stats.

I too am a spirit *****. Since 2.3 and the change to intensity stacking spirit as a druid healer is awesome. I can easily top 2k +heal on my main targets in ToL form as I have 600+ spirit raid buffed.

After spirit is +heal and then Mp5 and then int :)

I have a resto druid that has currently finished hyjal and is working on BT. The first thing you want to stack is +heal over all else because the regen will factor in regardless because most of the gear has it but given the opportunity always put the big heal gems in and etc.

The second stat I stack is raw mp/5 over spirit for the reason that the majority of spirit regen only works if you havent casted for 5 seconds which isnt going to happen in a raid. Another reason is the farther you go in the more likely you will be asked to give up your innervate to a priest.

after +heal and mp/5 go for spirit and finally int

AT higher lvls int doesnt do all that much cause it increaes crit which doesnt help a resto druid much and with the amount of regen you have a large mana pool isnt as great as it sounds.

I guess it depends on your raid composition for where your Innervate goes. My guild is 6/6 SSC, 3/4 TK (no attempts on Kael yet), and we usually have 1 Resto Shaman, 2-3 Priests, 3 Healadins, and 1-2 Resto Druids. Since we also have 2 ferals and 1 balance druid, the priests get their innervates, and the other resto and I get to keep ours. I'm also usually in the MT party, so 3-4 healers are benefitting from my ToL aura. For me, +Healing > Spirit > mp/5. That being said, I enchant for +healing, and I gem straight +18 healing gems unless the piece has a +7 or +9 healing socket bonus.

Stack +heal and +Mp5, as an earlier poster stated. Gemming for spirit doesn't pay off, or at least it won't until 2.4 goes live. Save your innervates for a shadow priest in your raid, the mana returned will be multiplied in kind.

While stacking spirit is sort of good for a tree druid, the tree aura is weak when compared to other party buffs. Shoot for about 100 "while casting" mp5 for kara level stuff and 150mp5 for SSC/TK level.

I find I get the most out of the purple or orange gems that are of the +heal and either +int or +spirit variety. Looking at pure itemization for say a green gem, it's either +13 heal or +7 heal and +3 (stat). The difference is like 0.2 in terms of itemization value, but I still feel like I'm beating the system. It's also very easy to meet the requirements on the healing meta gems if I go with purple on red or blue sockets and orange on yellow sockets. Over the 8 sockets I currently have on my druid too, it adds up.
