Hey I'm new to tanking and just wondering what kinda of gear i should be getting as I level. I hold aggro pretty well, but just wondering if my gear is sufficient at my level and what I should be picking up as I go along. Specifically, I am wondering if there is any 1 handers that have spell dmg that I should probably have at this point or in the near future. You're fine for now... Old World tanking basically means "Wear plate, most of which should have +STA on it".
Dont go out of your way to get tons of flashy high 50s gear because in 5 level (or 3 if you're one of those "58" people) you'll be hitting Outland. 1-2 sessions in Outland (75% of Hellfire done) and you'll be a "Generic Tanking Paladin" as you'll have replaced *everything* with entry level Outland gear that is, quite frankly, for the most part enough to level straight to 70 -- where the real gear hunt begins.
