Maybe it's because he's an engineer, but I carry around a huge amount of trinkets (I'm level 58 right now) on my rogue in comparison to my 70 mage (3 trinkets) and my 60 priest (3 trinkets).

I'll say it again, it's probably because he's an engineer, but I cycle through:

Tidal Charm
Gnomish Shrink Ray
Chained Essence of Eranikus

And in the other trinket slot, I go between:

Rune of the Guard Captain

and the well-known

Carrot on a Stick

And then, in my last bag, I carry around situational trinkets.

Gnomish Universal Remote
Goblin Jumper Cables

And some other engineering ones that I don't feel like linking anymore.
(I banked my Death Ray as it's hard to use in PvE without getting interrupted, and vendored the Net-O-Matic because I have a 1-out-of-15 success rate with them.)

Anyway, does anyone else find themselves going through more trinkets on their rogue than any other class? Or is it only because I'm an engineer?

I generally keep my two DPS trinkets equipped, but I also have a Riding Crop, PvP trinket, stam trinket (again, for PvP), and arcane resist trinket (from Kara) in my bags.

Then again, I also carry a stack of all 6 poisons in my bag at all times. Yes, even Anesthetic.

I carried about 8-9 trinkets at any given time (except when I purposely emptied bags for farming) on my rogue. I also carried plenty of poisons and reagents at all times (except anesthetic poison because it is, and will always be, useless).

I keep all my useful trinkets with me. If i get trinkets that perform a similar function [core of ark and bloodlust] i compare and sell the lesser.

i remember back before BC launched, after the pre-2.0 patch with the arena skirmish mode and 41-pt talents, my gnome warrior friend and i would do 2v2 arenas as double warrior just for sh*ts and giggles.

one time we went up vs another dual war team, one a high warlord, the other a scarab lord (aka, opened the AQ gates). both of em were, to put it nicely, in better gear than my friend and i were.

but we had one advantage....the net-o-matic! my friend, with the aforementioned 1-in-15 chance of normal success, snagged himself and another one of the warriors in a backfire of quite epic proportions, leaving me and the other (better geared) warrior to 1v1 it. i was losing. i was outgeared. but my friend is a gnome! he EA'ed right out of that net, leaving a single bewildered orc screaming his fury as he sat there helplessly, cursing his decision to not equip his pvp trinket.

we pwnt his friend, then pwnt him. it was glorious.

the moral of this story? if youre a gnome, the net-o-matic can NEVER backfire.
