is the gameplay close enoughFollow

I have decided to roll a druid instead of leveling my shaman who is now lvl 42 because I resently found out that shamans suck at PvP. So I thought that a druid would be a close enough class to a shaman to keep me happy.

I need to know if the gameplay of a druid in the sense of a caster who can melee is close enough to a shaman to be viable as a replacement.

Also moonkin form sounds like God mode.

Well, as a caster, you'll want to be casting really. To do lots of melee work, you'll probably want to spec Feral and use your animal forms a lot.

Try druid out and see how you like it. I, personally, love the class but no one can really tell you if you'll like it or not. Check it out.

Agreed. Our effective versatility lies in being "caster damage + healing" or "melee damage + healing." And of course the reverse of each, if you focus on resto. If you spec feral your balance/damage spells become utility for CC, pulling, etc., and if you spec balance your feral skills utility for stealthing, tanking, etc. If you're feral you won't be using your damage spells in combat very often -- because of low int/mana, no spell damage, etc.
