Hi. i was curious about the following question because i seem to see ALOT of tanking questions. i personally like holy, but ret in arena and BG Is awesome to. thanks for your response.

thats a tough one.
Prot is a mixed bag for me. being a tank requires the rest of the team to have at least half a brain cell. if they dont, it by far a terrible experience. if the team is awsome, being prot is too much fun.
As a Ret, having fun is pretty much garenteed. i shread in BG, and as long as i dont match up agaist 1500rated full S3's (power lvling ratings i assume) i do pretty good in arena also. and in pve once people take the time to try me out, you get a good amount of compliments due to everyone expecting a Ret to be terrible.
i think Ret is number one for me. so far, nothing beats getting jumped by a group of Alliance, lets say 5ish, and dropping 2-3 of them before they can wittle me down. all while playing whack-a-mole on the flag waiting for the cavelry.

at least you wont have a high water bill for flushing.
Holy , I like being the healer and keeping everyone alive, and holy is even more fun in BG's (Especially AV), with a nice group you can pretty much keep 7-10 players alive while they gank everyone. So with a Pally healer as your back-up you'll be having one hell of a fight. But there's always a downside and for me it's the flaming when we wipe, for some reason it's always my fault.

"Favorite" tree? gonna have to say prot since tanking is a lot more enjoyable to me.

My Alliance toon is Retribution. It's been a fun spec. I know everyone spits on it, but I think that's part of the appeal. I like the underdog.
It's like playing Dan from Street Fighter II. You're not as good as the other classes, but if you can play him right, you'll **** off everyone else.
Horde side, I'm protection. Will probably go Holy at 70.
Protection, I enjoy tanking and knowing that i am an important part of the group. Also if they **** me off i can Bubble hearth, and get a new group in nothing flat. Group invites are great as a tank XD.

Prot is my favorite spec. I actually didn't think I'd like it at first, being a full time tank. Back as Ret/Holy at 60 I enjoyed tanking, but I didn't want to have to be a tank, but DPS instead if I felt like it. Honestly I've got more enjoyment out of the game tanking than healing/DPSing, and that's including all my classes. Sometimes though, I do miss running around whacking things with a big 2H >.>
