Well, your gear questions, I won't take a stab at it as by the time you're 70, it'll change (unless you level quickly).

Also I've stuck with Affliction and now into Demon but I wont have enough talent points to get the Felguard. Is he worth restructing my talent points to get?

He's not worth it until you are around lvl 58 or so, when you get all his talents learned. Then it's pretty nice.

I'd lose some buff potential and possibly Dark Pact to get him.

You'd have to lose dark pact, as it's a 31 point talent. You will miss it. You will go from being a lock who can take on 3 at once (without having to drink and such) to one who can take on 3 at once, but will have to drink and he's not 'low maintenance'.... mana feed is a must.

I got the Infernal guy so maybe his the best choice to use instead of losing any Affliction points but his an outside only demon and can be hard to handle.

Infernal is more of a 'novelty' pet that I use once in a while for his AOE in PvP, but he is burned down so quickly that it isn't worth a lot.

I want to run instances so not sure what the best pet is to go with, some say Succubus but I've found her pretty much useless.

Depends what your role is in the instance. She can't take many hits, and can be used for moderately okay crowd control (about as ice blocks are to hunters). Mage CC is best there. Mostly I use imps in instances for the +stam buff & mana battery with dark pact.

Thanks for the reply mate, I plan to be 70 in 3 weeks tops the way I'am going so any help with the gear questions would be muchly appreciated.
I'am really stuck with what sets to get.
I've seen a few 70 Locks with thier imps but never in an instance, always been the Felguard.
But imp would be good with the stam. buff like you said.
I think I'll stick with Affliction and a bit of demon and give the Felguard a miss, I think I lose to much getting him.

WOW! You sure you aren't one of those <insert race here> gold farmers? Lol.

What is your end-game goal? Do you want to PvP a lot, PvE a lot, Raid? That will go a long ways towards figuring out what gear you should be looking at.

Since the first post was made a month ago, another three weeks to 70 doesn't seem to be out of the ballpark, especially for an experienced player. The 'lock should be in its mid-40s at this time.

No not a gold farmer lol, wish i had a bit more though :)
Level 52 now, maybe 3 weeks wasnt quite so realistic but it wont be to far away from that.
End goal is purely raiding, Kara, Gruuls, TK and SSC and so on.
No pvp just pve.
Hope that helps :)

Okay, that makes a large difference. First things first then.... Frozen Shadoweave rocks. So you have to get that. Either level up as a tailor or powerlevel it when you hit 70 (I did that latter on my mage... it cost around 2500 G, I think). Use a 'profession powerleveling guide' to determine which item to make. Don't waste any time gathering mats you don't already have (e.g. for dreamweave circlet or anything... it won't last you that long). At lvl 60ish, you can start making your netherweave set (which you need for skill-ups, and is really good +stam warlock gear). It helps if you're an enchanter to d/e stuff into arcane dust for imbued netherweave, but if you aren't, just be friends with someone who is... that stuff is expensive. For your other gear, you can get it all from questing (you'll be in decent blues) or running instances @ 70. There is a nice resource for PvE gear here.

Hope this helps, m8. Now, go have a vegemite sandwich.
