Just dinged 51 on my BM hunter and cant really decide which one to go for?
here is my current gear :

I do have this in my bank
my problem is that the X-Bow gives great dmg and is and overall good weap, but the Ice Barbed Spear is the best weap for a hunter from what i can tell after reading the forums, is this true? and is it possible to get a better gun/bow/xbow than bloodseeker around lvl 51?

In 7 levels, it won't matter. The moment you step into Outland and get to your faction base, you're given a quest to replace your melee weapon. A few levels into Outland, you'll replace your ranged weapon... twice.
Since you have that gun in the bank, you'd probably be better off getting the spear.

The ranged weapon will be replaced sooner than the Spear, so go with the spear.
As horde, the first or second quest you do in OL gives you a NICE crossbow. just go with the spear. you really cant go wrong with it. Then just keep it till you get to OL and replace it as well. Cheap and easy.

Both will be replaced very quickly in Hellfire. I personally went with the crossbow because I felt the higher damage would help me reach outlands faster :P

Actually, both the 'Felspark Ravine' Q and the 'Bonechewer Blood' Q (both horde side names) are available to you as soon as you reach outlands. Although I believe you have to you an errand pre-Q for Felspark, it's nothing really huge. It's really up to you which on you do first.
I'd go with the xbow.
This was a tough choice for me after i turned 51. In the end, I chose the BOW (Alliance) and loved it and carried it till I was at least in Outlands..THats 7 Levels...The Spec on that Spear is geared more towards a warrior, so I chose the Bow.
