Curse

Site for Omen
And omen is an addon you really really want.
It measures your threat on targets, as wel as the threat from anyone else in your party with eiher the Omen or the KTM addon.
Wich pretty much allows you to, as long as you're paying attention, never grab aggro again.
You can download it from other places too, but they update it so much that the above link is pretty much the only place that always has the new version :P

There are several sites out there i guess Curse is one but what i did was use Google to find add-ons .

Things like "omen' a very nice and easy to use threat meter, worth even an experienced hunter having
"Auctioneer suite" helps a great deal at selling in the auction house plus it has extras with it that can help in many trades you take , it is being updated on a regular basis so keep track of the updates as it is getting better all the time.
A good co-ordinate add-on i use is Koordinator , all can be googled

These three above are a good start to the world of add-ons , all are simple to use unlike some i have seen and tried that give me far to much info.

One thing to remember is be very careful where you get add-ons as some may have been tampered with , I have heard of virus and key loggers being added to some , but i am not that sure about where from , so stick with any sites recommended

euhm..... what the hell?
Its an addon everyone should have at endgame, unless all you do is pvp.
Not just hunters or 'even help for an experienced hunter' no experienced hunter should go anywhere in PvE without it.

thats why i use curse, its a lot larger site thats used by a lot of people so chances are larger that any tampered with addons will be caught.

A simple way of checking yourself is to inspec the files in your 'wow/interface/addons' folder for any .exe files, because those shouldnt be there.

Omen is an Ace-based addon (Ace is an interface between addons and WoW itself, similar to a programming language) and is frequently updated with very small coding changes, sometimes 2-3 days a week it receives a minor update. Most of these updates are so minor - maybe 1 line of code minor - that you don't really need to keep up with every single one of them.

Having said that, there is an easier way to keep Omen, as well as a large selection of other addons updated. At www.wowace.com you will find a wikipedia for many of the addons available there as well as a program called WoW Ace Updater (WaU). That program will not only allow you to quickly and efficiently update and even install new addons but can also show you which addons, albeit only Ace-based ones, you have installed without having the game opened up.

There is also a sticky in the Main WoW Forum (check the links to your left) with more information regarding addons, as well as a lot of other information. Odds are any question you may have about the game has already been asked and has probably been answered already - sometimes you just need to dig for the question.

Well i at least do not care about .exe files as i have a mac but many out there have no idea about protecting themselves from virus and keyloggers and i know many are not that good at checking things first , thats why i see so many stories about accounts being hijacked .

that is why i said be careful , i used to run a site with 50,000+ members and i understand fully just how many have no idea at all with computers .

Check out the ZHunter Add on, I love it.

But, also keep in mind that with Patch 2.4 looming on the near horizon you may want to wait until after the patch to delve into the world of Add ons.

Why?

Because a ton of the existing add ons will need to be updated once the Patch hits.

I'm not trying to dissuade you, just top be prepared.

Do not get lost in a false sense of security.
There are viruses and key loggers out there for Macs, Just ask the people who had their accounts hacked while playing on a Mac.

Demented Mac users then. Anything like keyloggers and so on have to be acknowledged by the user, unless you've turned that feature off. You'll still have to be security conscious, but you are ten times as safe as you'll ever be on a Windows machine.

As soon as games start being more widespread released on Linux, I'm getting rid of this piece of shit OS...
