Spell Haste RatingFollow

Ok, from what I have read Quag's Eye is better then TLC, so would it be safe to assume that if you can get a few pieces of gear with some spell haste (without sacraficing hit) that it would have a very nice effect on your overall DPS?

Obviuosly casting faster = more damage = more mana usage, but with a S priest thats not a worry.


From what I can see 16 spell haste is around 1% faster cast speed. So basically with a quag proc thats around a 20% faster cast speed. Does it stack with IV? Making you cast 40% faster? Basically 4 fireballs in 6 seconds, at my average of 2500 FB hit, thats 10,000 with no crits and up to 15,200 avg if all 4 crit. Thats a burst of 1,666 to 2,533 DPS.

Check my numbers as it is early lol.

So would sacrificing some +damage to get +haste make a large impact like I think it will?

Thanks Pold. I am trying to tweak my mage and get out as much damage as I can. With my gear and talents I am currently hit capped and I have TLC and Quag and Scryer's blood gem. I was thinking about picking up the Silver Crescent, but I like the blood gems hit bonus.
